Abstract

Global migration and transnational border crossings of prostitutes is a historical phenomenon that dates back for centuries and prostitutes have historically have encountered legal and social discrimination in countries of destination through the denial of citizenship and residency rights. This contribution focuses on the recent migration of prostitutes (sex workers) from the 1970s to the 2010s.
