Recently we investigated the effectiveness of various Lewis base catalysts in the heterogeneously catalyzed disproportionation of 1, 1, 2, 2-tetrachlorodimethyI-disilane. The preparation and properties of these catalysts are discussed in view of their significant catalytic parameters.
