Abstract
A collaborative visual and sonic artwork drawing on research into internet chat-rooms and forums, the listening Post harnesses the energy of virtual conversation and converts fragments into an evocative experience. Lucy Bullivant discusses the making of the Listening Post, which has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Next Wave Festival (2001), the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2002), MIT List Visual Arts Center (2004), and La Villette, Paris (2004), with its American creators.
