Abstract

Domestic-scale projects can be a fertile source of technical and design innovations, as shown in a crop of houses designed and built by Massie Architecture. In this fifth instalment of the ‘Blurring the Lines’ series of CAD/CAM case studies, Andre Chaszar describes some of the novel and effective ways in which digital design and fabrication have entered the realm of single-family housing in the US, and traces the evolution of these techniques in successive applications.
