The relationship between charge-storage capacity and π-topology in conjugated polymers needs to be understood in order to optimize polymer structuress for use in, for example, anodic electrodes in secondary lithium battery elements. Cyclic voltammetry has been used to study the redox behavior of conjugated oligomers related to that shown in the figure.
