Fabrication and Characteristics of 2-Acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic Acid-Doped Polyaniline Hollow Fibers

Polyaniline:2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid has been wet-spun to yield hollow fibers using dichloroacetic acid as the solvent. The fibers have excellent circular cross-sections and good surface morphology, as can be seen from the Figure. The permeability of the fibers, as suitable for gas separation, has been assessed.
