A new conjugated semiconductor di(phenylvinyl)anthracene (DPVAnt) is synthesized with a structure as shown in the inset to the figure. As shown in the figure, the transport characteristics of DPVAnt transistors are very similar to that of pentacene transistors. However, owing to the higher ionization potential of DPVAnt, the mobility of DPVAnt transistors is less affected by exposure to air.
