The preparation, characterization, properties and applications of vertically aligned single-walled carbon nanotubes (v-SWNTs) are reviewed by Peng Diao and Zhongfan Liu on p. 1430. The inside cover shows the chemical assembly strategy for the preparation of v-SWNTs and the applications of v-SWNTs in electrochemistry and scanning probe microscopy.
