An error in the above Review Article concerning the description of one of the articles cited, S. Krause, L. Berbil-Bautista, G. Herzog, M. Bode, R. Wiesendanger, Science2007, 317, 1537, has recently come to the authors' attention. The authors apologize for this oversight and supply the following correction of the last two sentences of Section 6, “The Challenge of Addressing Individual Molecules”:

“For the moment, only Co metal islands have been submitted to a magnetization reversal by SP-STM spin transfer torque with a limited rate of success. As a matter of fact, a static threshold field has to be applied to assist the reversal induced ultimately by the tip.[113]

“For the moment, only superparamagnetic Fe metal islands have been modified in their thermal switching behavior by SP-STM spin transfer torque. As a matter of fact, the spin-polarized current originating from a magnetic tip leads to a lifting of the intrinsic lifetime degeneracy of two magnetic states.[113]
