Abstract

original image

A 3D DNA nanostructure-based sensor platform for DNA detection is presented by Chunhai Fan, Hao Yan, and co-workers on p. 4754. The strategy provides significantly enhanced spatial positioning range and accessibility for probes on a surface over previously reported DNA-sensing architectures. Use of this versatile detection platform leads to highly sensitive and selective DNA detection in biological fluids and greatly enhanced sequence specificity for SNP typing.
