Anatase TiO2 nanowires have been directly synthesized via a one-pot solvothermal approach. The curved nanowires with a length of ca. 300 nm and a diameter of ca. 10 nm are grown along the direction and assembled into hierarchical structures. After annealing, the anatase TiO2 nanowires perfectly retain the nanostructure, and manifest excellent photocatalytic activity for the degradation of Rhodamine B.
