Injectable hydrogels have the potential to be used for tissue engineering and biomedical applications. Karen Christman and co-workers show on page 2937 that oxime cross-linked hydrogels gel slowly outside of the body, even when held at body temperature, but gel quickly upon injection into the heart, thus opening up the potential for difficult minimally invasive delivery routes such as catheter delivery to the heart.
