Abstract

New life for “old” acetyl compounds: CO2-selective, N-doped carbonaceous membranes can be facilely prepared via thermal treatment of pyrrole-ring-containing polymeric membranes based on the superacid-catalyzed copolymerization of acetyl monomers. A solution-based synthesis of these free-standing membranes with application to CO2 separation is described by Sheng-Dai, Honglai Liu, Shannon Mahurin and co-workers on page 4152.
