Intermediate sized microarrays (spot features with 10 to 20 μm radius) spotted with quill-like microchannel cantilevers and immobilized by clickchemistry reaction are produced with multiplexed components. In article 1300129, Michael Hirtz and co-workers demonstrate the feasibility of such arrays for cell culture applications by applying protein sandwiches that allow for highly selective adhesion of fibroblasts e.g.,for cell arraying purposes.
