Abstract

Macroscopic polarized emission is realized from aligned hybrid gold nanorods (HGNRs) embedded in a polyvinyl alcohol film. The alignment of HGNRs is achieved by employing a film stretch method. Under a circularly polarized pump, the emission polarization of the stretched film shows a dipole-like pattern while the original film shows an isotropic emission polarization.
