Stimulated emission in highly luminescent molecular crystals of a dicyanodistyrylbenzene derivative with orthogonal resonator modes, very low lasing threshold, an excellent quality factor, and high mode regularity is demonstrated. The orthogonal resonator mode-endorsed single crystals acts as 3D resonator cavities and can be effectively implemented as the active medium in organic solid-state lasers without any external resonator structures.
