Novel photonic nanostructures with thermoresponsive shape-memory properties are presented. These materials, synthesized by imprinting a surface nanopattern on shape-memory polydiolcitrate elastomers, incorporate programmable optical properties that can be modulated or temporary erased by external stimuli. The multifunctional nature of these materials broadens their interest for applications as diverse as sensing, regenerative medicine or photonics.
