      The front cover picture, provided by Shigeki Matsunaga and Motomu Kanai, depicts the utility of a bench-stable Cp*Co(CO)I2 complex, which was readily available in >10-gram scale, as the precursor of a cationic cobalt(III) active catalyst for directed C[BOND]H bond functionalization. The Cp*Co(CO)I2 complex, in combination with AgSbF6 and KOAc, efficiently catalyzed the directed C-2 selective amidation of indoles with sulfonyl azides, as reported in the Communication on pages 1491–1495 (B.       The inside cover picture, provided by Pei Nian Liu and co-workers, illustrates a mild and regioselective redox-neutral C[BOND]H activated annulation protocol for the synthesis of isocoumarins and α-pyrones. Without any external oxidant, an O[BOND]N bond was employed as the internal oxidant in the Rh(III)-catalyzed annulation. This coupling of benzoates and alkynes is potentially applicable to construct of a broad range of useful O-heterocycles. Details are reported in the Communication on pages 1496–1500 (X. G. Li, K.
