My statement that the last of the patients to reach the gas chambers was around 1942 was incorrect, and such killing continued to the end of the war and, in some cases, even after the war was officially over. Also, my statement that the Tuskegee syphilis study occurred among prisoners was incorrect. The USPHS study was carried out within regular institutions within Tuskegee.
I regret these two errors.
