ana23940-sup-0001-suppfig1.tif327KSupplementary Figure 1 Mean number of spontaneous recurrent seizures in epileptic mice before assignment to stereotactic injections in the CA4 region with either control or with Nrf2 AAV vectors 3 weeks after pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus (SE). During the 2 weeks following SE induction, all animals were continuously monitored for 4 days. These data clearly indicate that there was no difference in seizure numbers before animals were injected with either the control or the Nrf2 AAV vector. The data are expressed as means ± SEM (N=7-8 mice per group).
ana23940-sup-0002-suppfig2.tif1165KSupplementary Figure 2 Mean number (A) and duration (B) of spontaneous recurrent seizures in mice implanted with EEG depth electrode (dorsal hippocampus), but not injected with AAV (w/o virus) and in mice injected with control AAV vector 3 weeks after pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus (SE). All animals were continuously video-monitored for a period of 5 weeks starting one week post-AAV delivery. These data indicate that control AAV virus did not change the number or duration of seizures compared with epileptic mice not injected with AAV and monitored during the same period after SE. The data are expressed as means ± SEM. N= 6-7 mice per group.
ana23940-sup-0003-suppfig3.tif1628KSupplementary Figure 3 Cell quantification of NeuN-positive neurons (A), GFAP+DAPI-positive astrocytes (B) and Iba-1+DAPI positive activated microglia (C) in the hilus of the dentate gyrus of naive (no AAV injected) and of epileptic pilocarpine mice injected with control AAV vector. Cell quantification was performed as described in Material and methods section. The data are expressed as means ± SEM. N= 5-7 mice per group.
