σ oder π? Die direkte Synthese sowie die molekulare und elektronische Struktur des η2-Silen-Platinkomplexes 1 werden vorgestellt (siehe Schema). Die Eigenschaften der Bindungen von 1 wurden anhand von elektronischen und strukturellen Kriterien untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass 1 am besten als ein Hybrid aus einem π-Komplex und einer σ-Cyclopropanstruktur beschrieben wird. Der π-Komplex-Charakter ist dabei wichtiger als in einem verwandten Disilenkomplex.
