Modifizierung der Donorstärke eines zweizähnigen Pyridinliganden ermöglichte die selektive Synthese der Komplexe 1 (ohne Methylsubstituent) und 2 (mit Methylsubstituent) mit valenztautomeren Nickel(II)-Semichinonato- und Nickel(III)-Catecholato-Gerüsten.
