Die Kopplungskonstanten1JCH und die C-H-Bindungslängen mehrerer Konformere von Tetrahydropyran, Ethylmethylether und Dimethylether wurden berechnet. Die Abhängigkeit von 1JCH vom H-C-O-C-Diederwinkel verläuft nicht parallel zur nOequation image-Delokalisierung (siehe Bild). Als Erklärung werden dipolare Wechselwirkungen vorgeschlagen, die die Elektronendichten beeinflussen.
