Mild, selektiv und effizient: Eine neue Methode mit Trimethylzinnhydroxid zur Hydrolyse bestimmter Esterfunktionen vermeidet ungewollte Eliminierungen und Epimerisierungen. Beispielsweise wird der Ester 1 unter milden Bedingungen in die Carbonsäure 2 umgewandelt, wobei die stereochemische Integrität annähernd gewahrt wird. 1,2-DCE=1,2-Dichlorethan.
