Influenza A virus (A/WSN/33) was a gift from Dr. Shin-Ru Shih, Chang Gung University, Taiwan) and polyclonal anti-FluA antibody was a gift from Dr. Hour-Young Chen (Center for Disease Control Taiwan). Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV, Taiwanese strain, RP-9) and the mouse monoclonal antibody specific for this virus were kindly provided by Dr. Yi-Ling Lin (IBMS Academia Sinica). Zanamivir was a gift from GlaxoWellcome Research and Development Ltd. (Stevenage, UK) and from Prof. Ching-Shih Chen (The Ohio State University, OH).
