Vorwärts und rückwärts: [RuCl2(PPh3)3], 1,3-Bis(diphenylphosphanyl)propan und ein Amidoligand sind die Komponenten in der koordinationsgesteuerten Selbstorganisation zweier Ruthenamakrocyclen durch NH⋅⋅⋅ClRu-, π⋅⋅⋅π- und CH⋅⋅⋅π-Wechselwirkungen (siehe Bild; violett Ru, grün Cl, orange P, rot O, blau N, grau C, weiß H). Die reversible Dissoziation/Assoziation dieses Komplexes in Lösung wird durch Halogenid-Ionen gesteuert.
