Neuartige Metallimidkomplexe: Oktaedrische Hexatantalcluster [(ArN)14Ta6O] (siehe Bild: Ar=Ph; C grau, N blau, O rot, Ta orange) entstehen in guten Ausbeuten aus [Bn3Ta[DOUBLE BOND]NtBu] (Bn=Benzyl) oder [Ta(NMe2)5], einem Überschuss des entsprechenden Anilins und einem Äquivalent Wasser. Das kristallographisch ermittelte Sauerstoffatom in der Clustermitte wurde durch Elektrospray-Massenspektrometrie mit 17O/18O-markiertem Material bestätigt.
