EinTop-down/Bottom-up“-Ansatz für die Herstellung von mesoporösem Siliciumdioxid mit ausgerichteten Mesokanälen (siehe Beispiele) beruht auf der kooperativen Assoziation eines amphiphilen Triblockcopolymers (P123) und einer Siliciumoxidspezies in lithographisch erzeugten nanoskaligen Räumen.
