Katalysator mit Anziehungskraft: Molybdänoxid-Nanopartikel wurden in eine mesoporöse SiO2-Schale eingebaut und auf SiO2-beschichtete magnetische Nanopartikel aufgebracht, die als magnetisch abtrennbare Heterogenkatalysatoren dienen. In der Epoxidierung von cis-Cycloocten kann der Katalysator, der eine niedrige Molydänbeladung von 1 Mol-% hat, ohne größeren Aktivitätsverlust sechsmal rezykliert werden (siehe Bild).
