Erfolgreiche Al-Suche: Die Verteilung katalytisch aktiver Zentren über kristallographische Positionen ist in Zeolithen nicht zufällig, sondern durch die Synthese bedingt. Unterschiedlich hergestellte ZSM-5-Proben lieferten unterschiedliche 27Al-NMR-Signale. DFT-Berechnungen der chemischen Verschiebungen ergaben, dass die beobachteten Signale zu Al an unterschiedlichen kristallographischen Positionen gehören (siehe Bild).
