Aluminium schaltet: Nach Zugabe von AlMe3 wechseln die Regio- und Stereoselektivität der durch 1 und [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] katalysierten Isoprenpolymerisation von 3,4-isospezifisch zu 1,4-cis-selektiv (siehe Schema). Ein gemischter Y/Al-Dreikernkomplex, der bei der Reaktion von 1 mit AlMe3 entsteht, zeigt in Gegenwart von [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] unter ähnlichen Bedingungen 1,4-cis-Selektivität. PI=Polyisopren.
