Passgenau für zwei Metalle: Die Kombination aus Pd und La in einem Schiff-Base-Liganden führt zu einer anti-selektiven katalytischen asymmetrischen Nitroaldolreaktion (siehe Schema). Mithilfe des Heterodimetallkatalysators gelingen kurze Synthesen von β-Adrenozeptor-Agonisten.
