Dreieckige Donuts: Ab-initio-Rechnungen auf hohem Niveau ergaben für den Grundzustand dreieckiger Dysprosiumkomplexe eine ringförmige Anordnung der lokalen Magnetisierungen an den Metallpositionen (siehe Bild). Diese Anordnung liefert eine Erklärung für die ungewöhnlichen magnetischen Eigenschaften der Komplexe.
