Abstract

Die Polymerisation des Titelsilens (Me3Si)2Si[DOUBLE BOND]Ad ergibt ein Polycarbosilan mit einem Rückgrat aus ungewöhnlichen Si-Si-C-Wiederholungseinheiten und nicht, wie analog zur radikalischen Olefinpolymerisation erwartet, aus Si-C- oder Si-Si-C-C-Einheiten. Die Struktur des Polymers und der Polymerisationsmechanismus (siehe Schema) wurden mithilfe von GPC, EPR- und NMR-Spektroskopie sowie durch Abfangexperimente untersucht.
