Abstract

Kohlendioxid gefasst: Sechs chirale reduzierte Schiff-Basen mit Aminosäureeinheiten und sieben LaIII-Ionen bilden mithilfe des CO32−-Ions ein neuartiges heptameres Lanthan-Übermolekül (siehe Bild). Der Cluster liegt ausschließlich als chirale Tripelhelix vor. Das CO32−-Ion, das sich von Luft-CO2 ableitet, verbrückt in einer seltenen μ3-dreizähnigen Koordination drei LaIII-Ionen, womit der Cluster effizient CO2 fixieren kann.
