Gruppentausch: Die kupferkatalysierte Synthese von Phenolen aus Arylhalogeniden gelang unter relativ milden Reaktionsbedingungen. Alkylarylether und Benzofurane ließen sich glatt durch Eintopf-Dominoreaktionen herstellen, die auf einer Hydroxylierung von Aryliodiden beruhten (siehe Schema).
