Iodfreies Salz: Ein organisches Redoxpaar (McMT/BMT) wurde an den Einsatz in farbstoffsensibilisierten Solarzellen angepasst. Der preiswerte organische Farbstoff TH305 ergab bei simuliertem Sonnenlicht (100 mW cm−2) eine Effizienz von 4.0 %. Photoelektrochemische Messungen lieferten Einblicke in den Unterschied zwischen dem organischen Redoxpaar und üblichen iodbasierten Elektrolyten.
