Wasserspaltung: Ein fluoreszenzaktiver Cryptand, der ein Anthracenfragment enthält, katalysiert die photoinduzierte Reduktion von CuII zu CuI mit gleichzeitiger Oxidation von Wasser zu Sauerstoff (siehe Schema).
