Sauber und einfach: Eisenkatalytisch aus Carbazaten an Luft erzeugte Alkoxycarbonylradikale addieren an eine Reihe von Alkenen unter Bildung von β-Hydroxyestern (siehe Schema). Die einfach ausführbare Umsetzung beruht auf umweltverträglichen Reagentien. R1,R2=Alkyl, Alkinyl, Aryl, CO2Et; [Fe(Pc)]=Eisenphthalocyanin.
