Doppelt gut: Die Titelreaktion mit dem von Tryptophan abgeleiteten difunktionellen Organokatalysator 1 ermöglicht die Synthese chiraler γ-substituierter Butenolide in ausgezeichneten Ausbeuten und mit hohen Diastereo- und Enantioselektivitäten. Darüber hinaus wird die einfache Synthese chiraler Glycerolderivate mit einer tertiären Hydroxygruppe vorgestellt.
