Nicht Strom aus Gas, sondern Strom und Gas: Die Erzeugung von Elektrizität und Synthesegas aus Methan gelingt in einer Einkammer-Festkörperbrennstoffzelle (siehe Bild; SDC=Samarium-dotiertes Cerdioxid, YSZ=Yttrium-stabilisiertes Zirconiumoxid) unter vollständigem Methanumsatz und ohne Ausstoß von Treibhausgasen.
