Wandlungsfähige Struktur: Ein poröses Kohlenstoff-Schichtmaterial (PLC) mit Graphen-Domänen entsteht bei der Graphitisierung von Glucose in den nanoskaligen Hohlräumen eines aminofunktionalisierten Tontemplats. Die Porengröße des PLC ändert sich reversibel im Zuge eines Übergangs zwischen geordneter und ungeordneter Form, der durch eine mechanische Kraft bewirkt wird (siehe Bild). Diese flexible Porosität wurde genutzt, um Farbstoffmoleküle anhand ihrer Größe zu trennen.
