Rauf und runter: Auf faserförmigen Siliciumoxid-Nanokügelchen (KCC-1) fixiertes Tantalhydrid katalysiert in Gegenwart von Wasserstoff die direkte Umwandlung von Alkenen in Alkane mit höherer und niedrigerer Zahl an Kohlenstoffatomen (siehe Schema). Der Katalysator zeigt eine bemerkenswerte Aktivität und Stabilität mit vielversprechender Regenerierbarkeit.
