Cobalt(III)-Salen-Komplexe mit Ammoniumseitenkette(n) katalysieren die Titelreaktion. Auf diesem Weg erhaltenes Stereogradient- und Stereoblock-Polypropylencarbonat (PPC) verfügt über höhere Zersetzungstemperaturen als typische PPCs.
