Der goldene Weg: Die AuI-katalysierte Titelreaktion liefert einfach und effizient hochsubstituierte cyclische Produkte mit hervorragenden Ausbeuten und guten Diastereoselektivitäten. Dies ist die erste übergangsmetallkatalysierte direkte Hydroalkylierung nichtaktivierter Alkene mit einfachen α-Ketonfunktionen ohne Zusatz weiterer Reagentien. Bn=Benzyl, Ts=Tosyl.
