Durch epitaxiales Wachstum gebildete hereterostrukturierte Kristalle aus porösen Koordinationspolymeren vereinen zwei widersprüchliche Funktionen: Größenselektivität und hohe Speicherfähigkeit. Die Kristalle extrahieren einen Erdölbestandteil mit linearem Molekülbau schon in sehr niedrigen Konzentrationen (1 Gew.-%) aus dem Gemisch mit seinem verzweigten Isomer und lagern ihn überdies in ihren Poren ein.
