Reduktion dank Frustration: In einer CO2-Atmosphäre wird Mes3P(CO2)(AlI3)2 unter CO-Entwicklung zu [Mes3PI][AlI4] und Mes3P(CO2)(O(AlI2)2)(AlI3) umgesetzt (Mes = 2,4,6-Me3C6H2). So gelingt die Umwandlung von CO2 in CO bei Raumtemperatur mithilfe eines frustrierten Al-P-Lewis-Paares.
