Umgedreht: Der Metallkomplex [Ru(dip)2dppz]2+ induziert die Umwandlung von B-DNA in Z-DNA und stabilisiert die Z-Konformation in wässrigen Lösungen mit niedrigem Salzgehalt (siehe Schema; dip=4,7-Diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin, dppz=Dipyridophenazin). Die Umwandlung ist sequenzunabhängig und wurde mit CD und 2D-NMR-Spektroskopie, AFM, isothermer Titrationskalorimetrie und Gelelektrophorese nachgewiesen.
