Brennpunkt Protein: Direktes Schreiben mit einem Femtosekundenlaser lieferte in einem einfachen „Top-down“-Ansatz dynamisch einstellbare funktionelle Protein-Mikrostrukturen aus Rinderserumalbumin. Dies machte auch biologisch verträgliche Mikrolinsen zugänglich, die auf pH-Änderungen in der umgebenden Lösung hin reversibel quellen und schrumpfen. Diese Reaktion auf äußere Einflüsse wurde zur Scharfstellung der Mikrolinsen genutzt.
