Wahl der Zustände: Die Oxidation eines Trinitroxid-Trioxytriphenylamins führt zu einer ausgedehnten π-Konjugation, wobei im Grundzustand eine Spinumwandlung von antiferromagnetischer Kopplung im neutralen Spindublettzustand zu ferromagnetischer Kopplung im kationischen Spintriplettzustand stattfindet. Die reversible Umwandlung zwischen beiden Zuständen wurde durch eine Veränderung in der UV/Vis-Absorption unter elektrochemischen oxidativen/reduktiven Bedingungen bestätigt.
